South African Hotelier Launches Fractional Ownership With Usage Across Five Locations - Game Reserve & Wine Estate Properties Included

South African Hotelier, The Zorgvliet Group, announces the launch of The Zorgvliet Private Residence Club (ZPRC) which introduces shared ownership at all of its five star luxury residences in five outstanding locations around South Africa. The Zorgvliet Portfolio offers a diversity of South African experiences promising to deliver ‘special experiences for special people’ at each destination including safari, game viewing, wine making, golf and garden route sightseeing. The name Zorgvliet derives from Dutch meaning ‘let your sorrows flee’ and encapsulates the feeling at each of the stunning hand-picked locations. Prices start from as little as ZAR 72,000 / approx. £6,000.

Fractional ownership based on equity of ownership, in perpetuity, will be offered at Dinkweng Safari Camp (Limpopo Province) and Zorgvliet Vineyard Estate & Spa (near Stellenbosch). A vacation club will also be offered at Ka’Ingo Private Reserve & Spa (Limpopo Province), Alluvia Specialist Winery (near Stellenbosch), Riviera on Vaal Hotel & Country Club (near Johannesburg) and The King George Hotel (Garden Route). Owners can exchange at any location within the ‘Big 5’ Zorgvliet collection of hotels and residences.

There is a growing buzz surrounding South Africa right now as the world sporting spotlight turns on it. This year the country is hosting the rugby British & Irish Lions Tour (May–July) and the ICC Champion Trophy Cricket Tournament (September-October) and in 2010 will play host to the FIFA Football World Cup (June–July). Massive transport infrastructure projects, including new rail lines and highways are underway in preparation.

Dinkweng Safari Camp forms a part of the ZPRC and offers owners a share of their own luxury lodge in the bush – this is the African wilderness from the safety of your own contemporary all ‘mod con’ home. This family friendly safari camp is adjacent to Zorgvliet’s Ka’Ingo Private Reserve & Spa in the north of South Africa in the Limpopo Province. Ka’Ingo has its own private air strip and an exclusive 24-hour meet and greet service at the main gate ensures a seamless transfer to the lodges.

Dinkweng Safari Camp is a wildlife sanctuary in the Malaria free UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and committed to sustainable development and conservation. Owners can participate in conservation programmes for animals which are under threat from habitat loss, culling or poaching. Today, an estimated 9,000 to 12,000 cheetahs remain in the wild in Africa compared to 100,000 in 1900 and their future is uncertain due to a variety of threats. The biggest is habitat loss due to human encroachment. Owners can also aid with sable breeding, leopard releases and buffalo and white rhino programmes.

Discerning owners can also contribute by adopting animals such as the elephant, lion, buffalo bull or cheetah and get regular updates about the progress and track their location on a computer. A wide variety of indigenous game can be viewed on the safari camp including giraffe, kudu and bush buck.

This development consists of 12 fully serviced and secluded luxury thatched lodges on top of a ridge with stunning views of the majestic Waterberg Mountain Range. The development has excellent security, complete with a developed road infrastructure and game fencing.

The 280 sqm thatched lodges are an open plan design with double height ceilings showing exposed beams with three master en suite bedrooms. Each room and the lounge are equipped with flat screen TV and DVD systems. The modern kitchen is fully equipped with high quality utensils. Other onsite facilities include the Zorgvliet Spa, tennis court, walking trails, mountain bikes, bar and lounge. Owners and guests can visit neighbouring Ka’Ingo for a personalised big five game drive at special rates and wine from the Zorgvliet wine estate is available at cellar prices to all members.

For those who have always dreamed of owning a vineyard but do not want the hassle or hefty financial outlay, a shared ownership at Zorgvliet Vineyard Lodge & Spa could be the answer. Luxurious hotel suites are located on the Zorgvliet Wine Estate nestled in the beautiful Banhoek Valley near Stellenbosch, just 40 minutes from Cape Town. This boutique style lodge overlooks the mesmerising Simonsberg Mountain and rolling vineyards where fractional owners are entitled to five cases of wine per year with their own personalised wine label. Special ZPRC membership benefits also include; barrel sampling, complimentary wine tasting with the winemaker, invitation and participation in wine production activities and educationals in food & wine pairing and wine appreciation.

This Zorgvliet Vineyard Lodge is built around a swimming pool in an inner courtyard and elegantly furnished with beautiful interiors. All lodge rooms boast en-suite bathrooms, air-conditioning, satellite TV, fireplace and private expansive balcony which all feature panoramic views of the Banhoek Valley.

The unique Cape Dutch architecture of the estate’s original 17th century Manor House (which is now a fine dining restaurant called Herenhuis) blends beautifully with the vineyard and mountain landscape. Owners can experience the magical ambiance of a mountain braai or picnic at the foot of the Simonsberg and enjoy the tranquillity of the evening valley as the mountains are painted rainbow sunset colours.

The Zorgvliet Group is in the process of formalising a partnership with a well-known global exchange programme, which will enable ZPRC members to exchange usage time at their South African property with time in top-flight resorts internationally.
