Couples Hotel, Veranda Paul et Virginie in Mauritius, re-opens with new facilities and experiences for intimacy and escapism

VPV_Sea-View-1The couples hotel, Veranda Paul et Virginie Hotel & Spa, has re-opened after a three-month renovation. The romantic hideaway in the north east of Mauritius now comes with added experiences and facilities to give couples a feeling of intimacy and escapism.

Guests can still expect the four-star level of service that the Veranda Resorts brand is renowned for, but improving the experiences on offer for couples was the main focus for the renovation.

Jennifer Wong, Hotel Manager, Veranda Paul et Virginie explains: “We want couples to feel totally relaxed with no time restraint worries, so we have introduced new services such as an all-day in-room breakfast and brunch service and al fresco dining under the stars.

“Allowing loved ones to share more time together and create memorable holiday experiences is our priority so an ‘apero moment’ will be available at any time of day or night offering couples the opportunity to intimately relax on the beach with cocktails and nibbles.”

Improved facilities include a new infinity pool overlooking the lagoon, a sunken bar, a fitness suite and a shisha corner. The spa is refreshed with double treatment rooms and a relaxation area opening onto a small tropical inner garden. Guests wanting a later check-out can now benefit from a new departure room.

The décor in the rooms, entrance lobby, restaurants and bars has been refurbished with a fresh palette of neutral colours.

Set in the picturesque fishing village Grand Gaube, where traditional wooden boats were first built, the hotel now offers guests the opportunity to explore the beach area on a traditional pirogue. For full day cruises to the northern islands, the hotel’s own catamaran ‘Deep into the Blue’ is also on hand. For guests wishing to explore the area on two wheels, tandem bicycles for couples are available.
Whilst at the resort guests can visit the island’s oldest ship making factory or take advantage of the free shuttle twice a week to the bustling village of Grand Baie, which is celebrated for its magnificent bay as well as its shops, nightlife and restaurants.

A Comfort Room at Veranda Paul et Virginie is on offer from €190 per room per night on BB basis during low season.
