A Fairytale Castle Wedding at Château De La Cazine In France’s ‘Land Of A Thousand Lakes’

Wedding at Halcyon Retreat

Château de la Cazine, situated in the lake district of France, Limousin, is now welcoming couples to celebrate their wedding in this picturesque castle setting. The Chateau was built in 1898 as a wedding gift from the Viscount de Curel to his wife and still retains its original, romantic charm.

The wedding package at Château de la Cazine costs from €16,300/approx. £12,950* and includes:

• Exclusive use of the Château and its 220-acre grounds for two nights

• Two nights in a spacious, opulent honeymoon suite

• Welcome dinner at the Château’s Michelin-starred restaurant for guests and breakfast on wedding day

• Flowers, bouquets and button holes

• Bespoke marriage blessing ceremony** with English-speaking celebrant

• Canapés and a six-course fine-dining banquet

• Various drinks packages available

• Free children’s drinks

• Traditional French wedding cake

• Evening party with DJ and disco

• Morning after brunch for all overnight guests

The grand Château de la Cazine can be hired-out in its entirety over the two days, allowing exclusive use of the Château’s 19 luxurious suites (including the honeymoon suite) and all of its first-class facilities including tennis courts, pool and beautiful grounds, with a spa and golf course to be introduced this year. The third floor of the Château is dedicated entirely to the honeymoon suite, designed specifically for newlyweds, and even offers separate living quarters for the night before. The suite also has dual roll-top baths and twin power showers. The suite has superb views spanning open countryside, glistening lakes and the established arboretum.

A bespoke wedding blessing ceremony** can take place in the Château grounds overlooking lawns and lakes, perfect for a spring/summer celebration, or for those cooler months, can be taken indoors with the Château’s opulent interior as a setting. An English-speaking celebrant will conduct the blessing and a certificate will be presented to bride and groom at the end of the ceremony.

Guests can toast the happy couple with a glass of Cuvée de la Cazine, champagne exclusive to the Château and hand-selected by champagne experts. This is part of various drinks packages available from just from €29/approx. £23*. Dinner will be served in the Michelin-starred restaurant and acclaimed head chef David Boyer and his team will provide a delectable six-course meal focusing on local produce from the region. This is followed by the cutting of the cake – the ‘Croquembouche’, a French-style wedding cake of profiteroles laced together with threads of caramel.

When day turns to night, the wedding party can dance the night away with a DJ and disco, followed by a magical display of fireworks with the Château as backdrop (additional supplement).

English-speaking wedding planners are on-hand to ensure the smooth running of the big day, both prior to and during, helping couples create an unforgettably unique wedding day.

As additional offerings included in the package, Château de la Cazine offers a pre-wedding stay at the Château for the bride and groom, a first anniversary weekend break and save the date cards – all complimentary (subject to availability).
