Go Ahead Given for New Retirement Village in Siddington

Building work on a brand new lifestyle village for the over 60s called Siddington Park is due to start next year. Located on a 12-acre former parkland site on the South East outskirts of Cirencester, off the A419, the village will feature a selection of 1, 2 and 3 bed retirement cottages and apartments, surrounded by landscaped grounds. Construction of the first and second phases, which will comprise over 116 high quality retirement apartments, will commence in summer 2019 with the first home completions in phase one being scheduled for late 2021.

Rangeford Holdings (“Rangeford”), a retirement property specialist, and Octopus Healthcare, part of the Octopus Group and a leading investor in healthcare facilities throughout the UK and Ireland, are behind the new village, which will be developed and operated by Rangeford. Bringing together their combined expertise, Siddington Park will offer residents an independent, active and worry-free retirement. The established partnership between Rangeford and Octopus Healthcare has already led to the creation of two successful retirement villages in Wadswick Green, Wiltshire and Mickle Hill, North Yorkshire.

Howard Nankivell, Chief Executive Officer at Rangeford Holdings comments: “The surrounding area is beautiful and being close to the town centre means that our future residents will be very much part of the Cirencester community.”

Siddington Park will boast a number of onsite amenities that support a sociable and fun lifestyle for its residents. Those looking to keep or get active can take advantage of the onsite pool and gym, where numerous classes will be run. Residents can relax in the village’s spa, which will offer a number of treatments, whilst the restaurant will provide a social hub for residents, family and friends. A dedicated concierge team will assist with day to day enquiries and services, whilst professionally trained onsite carers will provide additional assistance if required.

Nankivell adds: “The face of later living has changed dramatically over the past few years. What we are creating today are communities that encourage people to make the most of their retirement. We have learned that the village layout creates a safe and welcoming atmosphere and encourages people to socialise, start or rediscover hobbies and make new friends.”

To complement the lifestyle offerings at Siddington Park, the team will create a regular events calendar featuring day trips, cultural events as well as resident led hobby groups.

To find out more about life at Siddington Park, interested buyers are invited to visit the sales team at Wadswick Green in Corsham who are handling all initial sales enquiries for Siddington Park.
