P1 Communications Wins PR Contract for New Retirement Village Player Birchgrove
Birchgrove, a new residential developer creating luxury rental homes for the over 65’s, has appointed property and destination PR agency P1 Communications to establish and manage the project’s communications strategy.
The campaign objectives are to raise awareness of the benefits of renting vs buying a retirement property and to drive enquiries for their first development in Sidcup. It will be the first of eight retirement villages planned by the group, in and around London, over the next five years.
Vicky Goodall, Managing Director at P1 Communications comments: “We are excited to be part of Birchgrove’s ambitious plans to develop multiple new villages and introduce renting to the baby boomer generation.”
Honor Barratt, Managing Director at Birchgrove adds: “P1 are fully on board with the reasons why this new approach to retirement living could be a game changer for the market. The rental proposition potentially brings customers in to the market, who may have thought they left it too late, or the barriers to entry are too high. I’m absolutely convinced that P1 are the right team to help spread the word; they’ve never let me down before.”
The account will be led by Account Director André Kappelhoff, who has several years’ experience of working with retirement developers. P1 Communications, a boutique agency based in south west London, works for a variety of property developers and agents in the UK and overseas, with clients in France, St Lucia, Maldives and Austria.
Birchgrove is backed by Bridges Fund Management. Bridges has a 15-year track record of investing in property or property-backed operating businesses, with a focus on growth locations, needs-driven sectors and value situations.
